Rhode Island native Lisa Raposa has taught piano to students of all ages and levels in the Greater Toronto Area since 2014 and previously in Quebec and the Northeastern U.S. She is Vice President of the Etobicoke-Mississauga Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association and recently served as a repertoire advisor for the Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects. Lisa frequently performs with her husband Gregory as one half of the Millar Piano Duo having appeared in Toronto at Heliconian Hall and Gallery 345 as well as on the Sunday Rendez-vous Series at Stewart Hall in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
Prior to moving to Canada, Raposa completed BA, MM, and DMA degrees at the University of New Hampshire, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and Eastman School of Music respectively, earning top awards for her solo and collaborative performances. She enjoys running, creative writing, and photography in her spare time.
